Beautiful Smith Mountain Lake wedding at the Smith Mountain Manor!

Seth and Lauren’s wedding was so special and beautiful! They chose a beautiful venue, the Smith Mountain Manor. They have a beautiful property with so many different backdrops, with mountains, grass, trees, and the venue itself is amazing! We had beautiful weather. Not too sunny, but not rainy either! It truly was perfect. I love photographing Smith Mountain Lake weddings!

The day started with getting ready photos that went into a first look with Lauren’s dad. That was such a special moment. I love capturing first looks with dads! You can really see the love they have for their little girl. I almost cry every time! After that, Lauren had a first look with Seth. First looks are always so special too, even when couples have first touches. I love to see the look on the groom’s face when he sees her in that dress for the first time.

Since Lauren and Seth had a first look, we immediately did quite a few portraits right after. Thats another thing I love about first looks, you get so much more portrait time with your soon-to-be spouse! We also got to complete family formals after their portrait time. This gave them plenty of chill time to chat with guests at their cocktail hour.

Lauren had a special guest at her wedding, her goddaughter! She was the cutest little thing. I couldn’t help but keep taking pictures of her with those big, beautiful blue eyes! She was the flower girl, with a little help from her dad!

The rest of the evening flowed from cocktail hour, first dances, toasts, dinner, cake cutting, sunset portraits and dancing! They had such a fun reception. I think literally everyone danced at some point.
